I was referring to discussion among those who don't necessarily make the decisions. In general, simply to follow a conversation about an issue is becoming cumbersome.

Agree. Having package-level information exposed to users would not be meaningful. But perhaps we can find a way to group those that have overlap and name them appropriately. Suggesting:

Installation: community-ssu-enabler and mp-fremantle-community-pr,
Status-Menu: hildon-status-menu and status-area-orientationlock-applet

Control-Panel: hildon-control-panel,
osso-applet-notificationlight,
osso-applet-display,
libcpaboutcssu (not that important)

etc.
