Sorry if this has been answered. The forum search doesn't work for me, and the google search with site:internettablettalk.com came up with a big thread of people asking for grandcentral accounts, not answering the problem.

If you are using Gizmo to get SIP messaging, and use GrandCentral to get a local number to forward to your Gizmo account (If you don't get that, you can PM me and I will explain why you would want to). How can you answer on the n***???

I get a connected voice-call asking me to hit 1 to take the call, and then hit3-4 for do something fancy. But the Gizmo client on the n*** (for me the N800 with 2008) has no buttons to send a DTMF (the numbers on the dial pad, so you can hit "1" or "5 or...)". So every call goes to voicemail.

My goal is to give my mom an n8X0 and let her take her calls anywhere (that she has wifi. Her house, my house, my brothers' houses, cofee shops....) On a fixed income this is a huge month to month savings. She gets a gadget I love and she gets a service she relies on (plus a gadget I love , did I mention that?

I can't quite show off the functionality until I get it working right. For my mom, working is the key objective. She doesn't care about the n800 or the 770 or the n810 or anything, just getting her calls is what she wants.

My brothers (who are less gadget seduced) can't see why I am even bothering, but the solution seems so within reach. Am I being gadget-crazed, or do you guys think this really can be a solution for someone who doesn't ever want to think about "porting an app"
