I thought about it but assumed there were other applications out there that do that. I still have the gmail notifier running on my n800

It is a feature that I also would like to have but not sure it would go with this app. I probably would write another one just for that. In fact, I started at a point to write a imap client just to check for new messages and do some filter - who knows....
