Ok, so I lied.. Here's another post!

It seems that Google is ready to roll out their in-app billing API for Android for testing:

The feature is set to launch in about a week!

This is much, much more desirable than requiring entering your credit-card info on a per app basis, and will make the app market more competitive with other markets springing up.

I also fully expect a Paypal API to come into being at some point.
