I'm not Tone ... & I'm not sure about web tutorials ... but the best way I found into using MyPaint was to give all the brushes a go & see what works for you! ... one of my favourites is "smooth ink2" but there are a lot I use regularly ... (NB it may also help if you alter your global pressure settings graph a little! ... I had to reinstall & found it was wrong for me!)

... the other thing to do is work out all the shortcuts ... they're all listed in the main menu, but it's a pain clicking therough all the time, so learn that d&f change the brush size ... a&s change the pressure ... e toggles between brush & eraser ... z&y are undo & redo ... r selects the colour where the cursor is ... x toggles through the last 5 colours you used ... c brings up the colour wheel ... b brings up the brush selection ... L brings up the layer window & h selects the leyer your cursor is over ... the arrows scroll the visible area & . & , (full stop & commer) increase & decrease the zoom!

... if you're using layers make sure to save as a default .ora file ... and once you're ready to flatten the image save as a .jpg ... and ... if you draw a giant image with a gazillion layers like I do it may take an age (15+mins) to save ... it may also flash up the "MyPaint not responding" dialogue if it's busy saving ... don't be tempted to close the app ... it'll take it's time, but will eventually finish saving!

Hope this helps! x
