Way to Go SE. This line of devices just shot up in the rankings of most wanted devices.

Could this be a new trend? We could see custom and homebrew OSs, much more frequently on these devices.
I have several issues with this. 1) I disagree with their assessment that it's legal. It was never illegal to start with and I feel a certain amount of contempt toward customers from any company that keep insisting that it's illegal or even tries to muddy the waters by suggesting it. 2) I dislike that I have to provide them with my device's identification just to unlock my device. They should provide me with a way to do it that doesn't require identification--otherwise it goes back to point 1 in addition to the idea that the company won't let me truly own my own device once I've purchased it because they're tracking it one way or another. 3) How do I know what else that bootloader is doing if I have to identify my device to them?

I could go on and get deeper with this. I'm very skeptical after reading the details.
