If the device is going to be sold later this year, the hardware was firmed up this time last year, maybe tweaked here and there, but nothing major - is that usually the case since testing, QA, and certification takes on the order of 3-8 mos?

So wouldn't this thread technically be a year late in terms of asking Nokia (or Maemo/MeeGo licensees) to change their mind? Or, are the folks here only able to see incrementally better than what's already been offered?

In both cases, we'd be just blowing a lot of air towards something we technically don't have much control over (which kind of defeats the purpose of the thread).
