Don't leave debug binary installed, not only will it fill up your partition but it will drain battery faster since it dumps a lot of text to the log. Only install it if you are having the battery drain problem and restore test/release binary after a few hours.
It happened just now, I noticed after my previous post, just when I was going to install the debug binary, so unfortunately no asui logs yet. No icd2 activity at all now, so probably the previous time the device wasn't really in "flight mode"
I left dbus-monitor and psutils top running for an hour, but it didn't catch any dbus traffic while blank-locked. What I see in top log is mostly mmcqd activity about each minute, with some dsme and mce activity.
Unfortunately, the problems seems to come and go with no evident reason.
Unless it is continuously dumping text to the log file, I'll proceed with the debug binary.

No, there are no applications to rotate the screen running, it was ASUI, I think it was two fast rotations caused by inadvertently touching the touchscreen while pressing the power button.
