Thanks guys, I found it. Man that is one little arrow (it's like the paging controls here on the forums!), but sure enough hit it a few times, and there's a dial pad! It disappears as soon as a call comes through, but with that tip that it was underneath, I went into the task manager thing from the left nav and was able to bring forward the dialpad and answer a call!!
