In the guy's defence, we don't really know what he gets in the deal so it's not for us to judge the value. Furthermore, we can't all find £500 in one lump sum to fund the latest phone! I, too, pay £35 monthly and am happy to do so for the privilege of owning an N900. It's all a question of whether or not you feel you are getting value for money.
