If you choose device language to be English I guess you really want English and not some other language

I believe regional settings are more used for choosing date formats, currency etc...
It is indeed true; as there was not directly any clear way of retrieving the user interface language I decided to use the regional settings instead. However, I myself also think the UI language should be used instead. I will look into it, and try to provide a fix (if nothing else I will make the language selectable via Settings dialog). Thanks for your feedback!
