NIT - Nokia Internet Tablet
Nokia declared the N810 WiMAX Edition to be the last "Internet Tablet" at Open Source in Mobile 2008, the same event at which they announced the first details of the "Fremantle lead device", a.k.a. the N900. So officially, the N900 is not an Internet Tablet.
Meanwhile, according to many users here, the N900 is not a phone.
That does leave standing that Nokia-approved, nebulous moniker, "mobile computer", but there are plenty who question how that one is to be defined.
Personally, on the basis of several exhaustive experiments, I'm prepared to attest to the fact that the N900 is
not
a duck. That starting point now firmly established, I'll be methodically expanding my knowledge of what the N900
isn't
until the essence of the N900 is left, defined by this rigorous process of elimination.
