I think there is no problem with noobs, problem is with those noobs who have little patience and that want advanced stuff without any effort from their part. I have a hunch that most of them come from a M$/Apple world where they get everything served when it's ready. Fortunately the open source uses different model, and we see the development phase with all the good and bad things it brings with it.
I did expect a problem on my OLD N900 with wifi, it gives random MAC adress every reboot that make it impossible to connect to my router cause I have MAC filtering activated. Please fill in this bugreport if anyone got problemt with MAC adress if it's different in Meego from Maemo. ifconfig wlan0 should report the same both in Maemo and Meego. http://bugs.meego.com/show_bug.cgi?id=16119
