The reviews of the Asus Transformer are flooding in, and the verdict is good -- really good.

With the right software, this looks as if it could be a SOLID netbook replacement. The 15.5h battery life with the keyboard dock, and the keyboard integration, make this device a unique offering among tablets, and the price is impossible to ignore. I think Asus has a winner on their hands, and I can see them selling a good number of these things.

The main problem is the software, but sure enough it will begin to trickle in. Hey, give me a console, and already my head is spinning with the possibilities. At 2.9lbs (w/ dock) it's light for a netbook, and the battery life is insane. For a person that does regular productivity, this more than fits the bill with Google Docs and the built-in office suite.

The bottom line? This is a major contender among tablets, given the ultra-cool keyboard dock and high-quality hardware. It will only improve as Honeycomb improves.
