I'm not even going to touch this form factor until the next generation of ARM SoCs hit the market. Right now, it would make a severely under-powered laptop (though very useful if you just stay in Android all day). For me, I need Ubuntu for my processes, and this device would choke on some of the processes I run.
The upcoming cortex A15s clocked at ~2GHz will give low power laptops a run for their money with smartphone-esque power usage, and the next generation GPUs will put pressure on integrated ones from intel. When these hit, tablets/transformers will look a lot more comparable to laptops.
It's not there yet. But when it is, I'm saying goodbye to intel and getting an ultra-thin/ultra-light/ultra-cheap transformer-type setup without even thinking about it.
Asus is talking as though this line will exist beyond the initial sku, which is comforting. I also expect them to sell enough to warrant future products, as well as competitor products.
