I'm not a fan of the military (or killing in general), though I thought that this was newsworthy!
Let's not forget that an Army exists for defense as well and that they don't just fight--they also lend assistance during disasters. I, for one, am glad to see Android making its way into the US military.

I hear you, man. I learned my lesson, too. I wonder, sometimes, whether Nokia's executives and management are pleased to be the ones to have taught this lesson at the expense of their brand name and quality. I often think that they seem to be fine with it.

I would imagine that they would have shown that off, but I've never seen it shown at all--so I doubt it.

Here's hoping that this is a major bug-fix version as well as optimization. I would also like to see this release work on something other than a tablet!
I thought I'd heard that 3.0 was intended for tablets only and that 3.1 would be designed to include phones as well. Maybe that was just part of our wishful timeline for development rather than an actual timeline or rumor. I forget.

Very cool stuff indeed.

The downside? Many weird permissions, which make me a bit nervous to install. (eg. GPS... wtf?)
Yyyyyyeah, I'll stick with browsing the website and downloading their podcasts.
