I think there is something revolutionary about this community that shouldn't die. The N900 potentially has a lot of room for dramatic improvement. There still aren't phones out there that make me want to get rid of the N900. One of the great things about this community is that it has effectively been abandoned by Nokia. I wish there was a way it could continue the march, maybe join up with the Pandora cult and become a truly independent force beyond the clutches of the increasingly corrupt commercial interests that are struggling for control of the chaotic movement that started when PCs became affordable by individuals and empowered even more people when smaller technology occupied people's hands and pockets.

I agree with Abil_uk that the N900 is becoming more and more hackable, though the time can't be far off when all of our usb ports break and we have to move on. I hope that we find devices to move on to that are worthy of the N900 and the community that has sprung up.
