You can try theme customizer and those fast animations mode with it! Then maemo will be fast as lightning
I'm not sure but I think this is the Hardware Synchronisation of Hildon-Desktop. If I read it right in the MeaModder forum, then this does not increase the speed. It does cause crashes and reboot loops. So I think it is not really a good idea to include it in the CSSU.

I am not sure whether this true, maybe someone can ask the developer of MeaModder.
