Yeah, I think Apple's obsession with Keep It Simple Stupid makes the keyboard accessory a non-slam-dunk. They may think, "If the iPad comes with a keyboard accessory, then perhaps some lazy developers won't make their apps completely finger-friendly. And if we add a keyboard, some developers will have apps that aren't keyboard-friendly and some customers might have a less-than-stellar experience. So wouldn't we be saying by including a keyboard that developers have to make their apps finger-friendly AND keyboard-friendly? Oh my... oh my... I think my brain is about to explode!"

Perhaps I'm overstating it, but remember that there is a reason why the iOS devices still do not come with a stylus.
