I thought of a simple:
cp /home/user/mydocs/.documents/whw.note.html /home/user/mydocs/.documents/whw.note.html.bak
just in case this file would include your
notes and to prevent overriding this when trying to
recover the notes.
But, if this file does not include your old notes, I think
there is no hope.
