is there a way or hack to play music and using camera to record at the same time. Hope there is a trick (cheer)

Is music being played through heatset-headphones, or through speakers? If the former, then there is hope. If the latter, then the microphone would likely hear the music from the speakers, no matter what you do.

Easy. Use two devices: first N9 is playing the music, and second N9 is recording

But if your asking inside same device, then short answer is NO

You can easily add music track to your video when post processing on PC, there are multiple choises, and audio quality will be better.

You can add music to any video you record on your N9 in the edit screen of the video you recorded. Somewhat crude (I belive the start of the video has to be the start of the track and there are no fade in/out options), but it works very well.

Now you got me intrested
So care to explain why it's not possible, is there some signal path in the device that can only be switched to either/or, or what...?

/dev/snd is the sound output, what is the camera device? Or is it using some other interface method?
