Eldar is very much in the know with Nokia's, Samsung's and a host of other companies' plans. Dude gets devices before En gets Gadgety and Boys test as Geniuses. And from this person's opinion, Eldar and his team do top notch detective, market analysis, and review work.

But if all you want to do is be a-rushin to what's next, MR is good there too

Uhm. This just replaces QuickOffice with Microsoft Office Mobile edition. That is probably for newer E-Series which use S60. For older E-Series QuickOffice license is included with sale.

For a good OO.o port to ARM/S60 or ARM/Linux (and Maemo) you need to 1) port it to S60 2) optimize performance 3) optimize interface 4) easy learning curve. This costs a lot of hard labour; time and money. Besides, OO.o doesn't use Qt. If you're going to switch to Qt on S60 and Maemo why not think about porting KOffice in the longer run?
