While the built RPMs were not what I was looking for (they are already available at Openrepos)
I now understand what you mean with "the sources":
There is not Git-tree, hence no ability to clone a repository with its history etc., the "Browse source"-function does not work, but there is a TAR-archive of each version which was submitted to build.merproject.org
Not really satisfactory, but better that nothing.

I suppose your answer does also imply that git.merproject.org is likely gone forever.
