Warning: Here be dragons. Don't come crying if you hurt yourself by listening to my advices below

If you're interested how you can create Extras-devel-uploadable files (tar.gz, changes, dsc) straight from QtCreator

http://qt-funk.blogspot.com/2011/02/...le-source.html

If you're interested in the version of QtCreator that supports the 'skip packaging' option (i.e. copy instead of dpkg-buildpackage) see

http://qt-funk.blogspot.com/2011/02/...ator-edge.html

I really like the new QtCreator version and love the autocompletation while typing.

Some points I got while using it:

- While creating a new mobile project there is no possibility not to use mainwindow ui file and I have to manually remove it from project and source files.

- Building the project won't make the deb package. I have to click on run, otherwise only the executable will be prepared.

- The .pro and .pri files are a bit confusionary to read and edit. The standard path for maemo is /opt/usr/bin; it could be /opt/PROJECTNAME

- It's not possible to manually add files to deployment like in previous version in the build settings of projects tab. There is a list in the run subtab but it can't be edited.

- The debian files edit is in the run subtab and not the build one. Also, there is no postinst as default and so it must be created manually before building.

- The package manager icon creation is nice. Could be better if it is automatically set from resizing the icon provided at mobile project creating.

I have installed QT SDK 1.1 but cannot get the maemo as a target when I try to create a new QT mobile application project. I am using windows XP.
Is there any additional setup to me done. The SDK already has the QT Maemo toolchain installed

Offtopic but XP is now ten year old why not install ubuntu instead

Qt is more tested under linux and microsoft dont like Meego/Maemo/Qt and is doing everything to killit. so that company should burn in hell anyway.

sorry could resist... I may sound like a Linux fanatic but atm I really hate Microsoft.

Yes! I'm using this system myself. I had a little trouble with the debian "rules" file, but other than that, it works for me...
