Thanks Bun for answering question for me. This has so much info that it brings up almost instantly. If you use in conjunction with load applet it can give you early warnings of troublesome apps. Thanks again qwerty.

I typed an answer to the degrees question before but I must have closed the tab inadvertently >.<.

In the ~/.conkyrc, change {i2c temp... to {i2c tempf...

Stumbled upon an awesome background which someone uses to put Conky information in. Check it out here (for Thinkpad). Someone else made one for Macbook, too. Included are conkyrc files and links to original artwork (copyright by e.g. IBM). Maybe it inspires someone to build this for the NIT. Personally, I'm not interested in this until the flickering is solved. It'd drive me nuts.

Is it possible to display the temperature of the cpu in conky?

Edit: Or the battery temperature
