has anyone managed to read/write to the serial console (the one near the battery)? I would like to hook up my dive computer to it to read/store/view the dive profiles on the 770. This would be really easy via that serial port, because the dive computer also has a 3,3V serial port, so I only need a cable.
The software have to read/write to the console and maybe setup the communication parameters. The boot messages on the console does not interfere with my purpose, because I simply not connect the DC during boot.
BTW.: as I understand I have to set R&D mode to activate the serial console. After activating it, can I unset R&D and keep serial port on?
