Hi,

I can't seem to,update anything on my n800 after updating the firmware? I could install things like ssl, and terminal.
Does anyone have a clue i could borrow?

I have no idea why i can't install anything or update software.

I Did notice that ncurses is in the install list but has a size of 0 bytes, and I can't uninstall it,either.

I'm stumped.
thanks for your thoughts....

i too get the errors mentioned. though i get them, the packages (other than ncurses-bin) are updated and the new functionality is available. i do not know what is wrong with package, but even after a flash of the firmware, it still gives the errors. i have found no work around as of yet.

i even tried to force it by using apt-get from xterm, and it still didnt work.

found it...

you need osso-xterm and becomeroot packages installed. with root access, run the following command...

dpkg -r --force-remove-reinstreq ncurses-bin

I still can't update anything, but now the only "updates" I have have magic: sys and ncurses-bin. I used to have a whole page of updates?

magic: sys has a size of 0 kb. So now I am very confused.

And I still can't install anything new?

gah.

I'm still getting the same error. I guess I am going to re-flash and see what I can do that way. ag.
