I'm sure this is covered somewhere already, but I must be searching for all the wrong words.

Mostly I want to run ntpdate automatically each time the N800 starts up (obviously after the network connection is up) to make sure my time is accurate. How can I do that?

search ntp and you will find what you want i think.
