I have a N770HE with a tar file in Documents. In Xterm, how do i get to that directory to run the tar command? I saw a post where someone said to use "cd MyDocs". I did that and it got me to MyDocs but the tar file wasn't there. I go to file manager and look at details of a file and they show it listed under Nokia 770(with a no no space) and then under Documents....not really telling me the actual folder location.
PS..I moved the file using cut and paste from downloads on my MMC to Documents on the main hard drive. Tar command wouldn't work with "permission denied" when tar file was on MMC.

Also, where is the proper location to install programs?? I have installed everything so far(xterm, uktube etc) in Extras on the memory card....Is that correct?? Should I have installed them on main hard drive and where??

PS....The longer I have this machine the more I'm impressed with it. If it had a USB port and a VGA connector I would be in heaven!!!

In xterm, cd ~/MyDocs/.documents
Directories and files that start with a . are hidden. Use ls -a to see them all. I use ls -A to supress the . and .. directories from the listing. ls -lA for the long listing.
