Ok So I have DropBear, and X terminal installed, but when I type in "ssh root@localhost" it tells me -sh: ssh: not found

I'm using a N800, with the latest software (not OS 2008.)

I'm a noob when it comes to these terminal things, but I'm seriously stuck.

find the becomeroot package.

this will allow you to sudo into the root account instead of ssh'ing to the localhost.

also, get rid of dropbear and use openssh. its better.

LOL I know this is dumb- but now what? I just want to change the up and down keys in the browser. But when I type in ~/.opera/input.ini it tells me Permission Denied.

first you need to be root.

sudo gainroot

then you need to edit the file. what you did attempts to execute the file. the file is not executable, and you dont have the rights to do so.

vi ~/.opera/input.ini

vi is a text editor. you should get some of the vi basics under your belt before trying to do too much with it, see if nano or vim is available from one of the repos. they are a bit more forgiving and user friendly than straight vi.

NO, you don't need to be root to edit .opera/input.ini.
The rest of the posting is correct. But you can do all of that as user, no need to be root.

As for the ssh problem: I have dropbear-server and dropbear-client installed, I don't have any problems with them whatsoever. And ssh root@localhost worked just fine..

The message 'ssh: not found' sounds like you have only dropbear-server, not dropbear-client installed.
