Has anyone installed the newly released flash player on their N810? If so, did you use the tar.gz or RPM?

The new flash player supports HD flash Video and other goodies

It's only for x86 processors (most desktops and laptops), the tablets use ARM processors.

and the minimum hardware requirements are pretty crazy, no chance of this running on the tablets.

None other than Youtube itself. When I try to play a video I've played in the past it tells me I either have Java disabled or an out of date flash player.

You ran out of memory at some point and that caused the browser to disable Flash. Click on the magnifying glass in the bottom right corner and enable Flash from the components menu.

You know the most embarassing thing about my previous idiocy? The fact that I read an earlier post of yours that said the exact same thing. Thanks for setting me straight.
