Since upgrading to OS2008 - which is great so far BTW, don't know how to put statusbar clock back on.

Not sure what you were using before, but I use a program called "osso-statusbar-cpu" that has the digital time and also can show CPU and/or Memory usage.

There is a statusbarclock app avail from maemo.org. I installed it but no clock appears in statusbarbar, so I think not compatible with OS2008 yet. Not only no clock, but it removed all apps from my desktop (and the osso-statusbar-cpu from the status bar.)!

I installed and tried the osso-statusbar-cpu you mentioned, technut, but clock is small and numbers nott bold enough for me old pirate eyes.

FYI, there is a bug in the osso-statusbar-cpu clock where it won't update while running any other application unless you tap on the mem/cpu icon in the stat bar.

Works great for a memory/cpu monitor though. Also like the screenshot tool - very handy

I cannot find osso-screenshot-tool. The one I located "cannot install, incompatible". How do you make screenshot on 2008Os?

thanks

A different question: i try to make use of the command feature of the statusbar-cpu, like trying to mount my wiki.iso image, I have not been able to make it work.

I run a .sh script for shutdown the tablet and run it via the command feature and it worked, I replace the .sh part with the and it did not work.

mount /media/mmc1/wiki.iso with ~/wiki

Original script
________________________________________
#!/bin/sh
if [ `id -u` !=0 ] ; then
exec sudo gainroot <<EOF
exec sh $0 $*
EOF
exit $?
fi
exec shutdown -r now

Any idea?

I put the above .sh into the command and it is a convenient button to reboot. I just wish I could make it mount the wiki.iso.

EDIT: I got it to work, I forget this

sudo gainroot
chmod +x wiki.sh
and now, I mount the wiki everytime I press an icon on the command line. That saves some key strokes
