Yes, just flash using the normal procedure, but download the OS2007 firmware instead.

I was trying to as well for one of my n800 units but what downloaded was a PHP file and not a Bin file from the Nokia source.
Pardon my newb lack of knowledge, but how do I open the php, as it doesn't process through the 'normal procedure'.
Thanks

Re: Says .bin file, downloads .php What do I do?!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you have a file in Windows, you have the option of changing the name of the file. So you would take a file that is called thisisatest.php, for example, and rename it to thisisatest.bin.
Alternately, you could take a file and save it as any name you like.
These are basic Windows functions.
Once you have renamed the file to somethingorother.bin, you could proceed with the installation instructions.

I updated to OS2008 but have found that the RSS readers doesn't work as well and web pages are constantly getting hung up. Also the N800 still doesn't stream windows format (the three things I use this for). I'd like to wait until OS2008 works out some bugs -- it does look great though.
Can I put the old OS on using the updating software that came with the N800?
Thanks
