I have been going through threads but am having a hard time figuring out where the right spot is to get maps and make them work for maemo mapper with os2008. I was able to get maemo mapper on and hooked to my gps for my n800, but cant figure out where or how to get the maps. I have seen all sorts of refrerences but just not well versed in any of this. Is there one place that ecplains for tghe complete niovice how to do this step by step?

The help file is very good, and very complete. That should tell you all you need to know, at least for getting started.

sgosnell is right, gnuite put together a fantastic built-in help.

If you need some padding, the stuff here still mostly applies: http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...ead.php?t=4958
