hi all

finally after lurking here and other NIT sites, doing research furiously .. finally I've taken the plunge and bought N810. I'm still very impressed with this gadget. I've been changing phones and gadgets quite frequently but this is the first time for a very long long while that I feel so excited, with hundreds of butterflies in my stomach :-)

May I know:

1. How to enable chinese support? I can't input Chinese into notes.

2. I've not tried opening chinese webpages.

Thanks in advance.

I just got Simplified Chinese running last week and it works great on the N810!

Here's my notes from a previous post:
Just wanted to say thanks as I was able to get simplified Chinese input (and viewing) working perfectly on my N810. I appreciate the info given here.

I used the simplified Chinese package at this CJK Support site.

Also for viewing only (no input support) for Chinese web sites, the font package from this site works perfectly too.

jfdaily.com loads correctly with the font package only. The Maemo CJK package allowed me to input Chinese characters into yahoo mail without any issues.

Hope this helps!

Thanks guys.
Very useful keyboard. Arabic fonts was very useful to read Arabic websites.
I travel outside the US and this is great.
Will more languages be added to the keyboard and is their an app for installing Indian fonts and drivers so that I can look at non-english Indian webpages.

I don't think there will be .

Look at the name maemo (CJK) . They've added support for those languages.

All I know of is the Arabic package (not sure if it does input) & the Hebrew package.
