As everyone here I love Canola, but there is one small thing that annoys me, and it is really not Canola's fault. When I'm browsing the web, or doing something other than using the IT as a media player, sometimes I lower the device volume. If I then start Canola, then I can't listen to music since Canola's volume is independent from the device. Could there be a shortcut to the main volume?

Thanks and great job!

Hi Tarkam,

Unfortunately we are following the platform guidelines : / I already requested that to the development team, and while it seems natural to do that, it's not that "simple".

Marcelo, I found out that Canola can be "minimized' by pressing the "home" hardware button, and choosing home. From there I can adjust brightness and volume and then easily return to canola.
Thnx

Hi tarkam : that's how we "presumed" people would do it. But it seems that they don't like to go out of canola (what I take as a compliment ) : )

the home button actually is your gate way to any kind of multitasking, press it and choose the next application, or click on home to go to desktop

Cheers

Was the equilizer or any other add-on ever made?

I searched the homesite http://openbossa.indt.org.br/canola2/install.html and did not find mention of it. I also search the forum for "canola equilizer" and only found this thread.

Also; is DivX going to be added to the list of supported codecs?

I have installed Mplayer and tried that, but the video was very slow.

Canola uses Mplayer, but as it has the frame and the rest of the app running, it's a lot slower than standalone Mplayer. I find Canola's video player is only good for videos optimised for the tablet (400x240 or less).

Nope, no equaliser, though I guess you could try using XMMS in the mean time. It's nowhere near as flashy or generally nice to use as Canola, but has a hell of a lot more settings, and a full equaliser.

I'd like Canola to have fullscreen clock plugin.
