I'm now hosting a buid of osso-xterm 0.14.mh11 for OS2008.

The mh3 build hosted on maemo.org does not allow permanent disabling of toolbar and hasn't been updated for many months. This build fixes that and allows selection of charset (UTF8 etc).

This version still doesn't allow disabling of the scrollbar, although it contains a gconf setting to toggle just that. I would really appreciate a fix of it. (edit) thanks again jott! This command will remove scrollbar in a currently running xterm (not permanently).

gconftool-2 -s /apps/osso/xterm/scrollbar -t bool false

So if like me, you're sick and tired of undisablable toolbar syndrome , go to http://pupnik.de/xterm.html and give it a shot. It's saved me some frustration. Thanks to the xterm porters for the work (but not for the 'lets not release anything' policy) and thanks to jott for the build.

These can't be installed through the application manager though.

I also did this in a different thread (below)

It is nice to have a dedicated thread for it though.

ah sorry - i didn't click on your thread, the title led me to assume you didn't have a build of it

I like fiferboy's build of .13 series. You can hide scrollbars & toolbars by menu options.

ArnimS: birdlist is an application I wrote to keep a 'life list' of birds for bird watchers. It essentially allows me to keep track of what (North American) birds I have seen, where I saw it, any pictures I took, etc. Pretty much only useful to North American bird watchers at this point.
