You can connect very easily via a bluetooth modem, see here:

I think you can use the BT-Pan package (Maemo-pan) on your NIT and setup a BT Network on your PC ...
Or there is a USB Net howto but I wonder if it only works with Linux PC ...

Thanks, I have installed maemo-pan, N800 can pair with PC, but it seem that maemo-pan is a add-in only for phones, from my pc, I can find service "OBEX Object Push" and "Headset Audio Gateway" on N800 only, what's wrong?

When I active "Bluetooth-pan" as a connection to my PC, N800 display "search for XXX" and then "could not find XXX", where "XXX" is my PC's name. The maemo-pan can not work with PC, is that right?

I suppose you have to create a BT PAN connection on your PC first ...

I couldn't get it to work with my work desktop using an external bluetooth dongle either (set as desktop or laptop) even though it supports PAN. The N800 doesn't recognize my work desktop as a phone therefore bluetooth-pan doesn't see it.

However the N800 recognizes my Dell laptop with built-in Dell BT dongle as a phone and bluetooth-PAN works.

You can also use WiFi network card and set up an ad-hoc network to share connection. It's also faster than BT.

Remember to set the default gateway of your BT network as 192.168.0.x.
