Be sure that the WiMax in Canada is on 2.5 GHz, which is what the N810 WiMax Ed. expects. Some countries use other frequencies, like 3.5 GHz in Russia and Slovakia.
Since they don't publish any info on this, I request info on their network frequencies and this was their answer :
98MHz at 2.5GHz across Canada except in Manitoba and Saskatchewan as well as 100 MHz at 2.3-3.5GHZ in every major city.

I guess every single piece of WiFi gear I've ever seen is flawed. I've never had a router that goes above channel 12.
