(this got lost in another thread and might merit a (sticky?) thread)

The Internet Tablets include a handy “Internet Search Applet” on the desktop / home screen. By default, this applet only includes Google and Wikipedia search. However, the list of search engines can easily be expanded through plugins.

I’ve put this feature together with a Google CSE (Custom Search Engine) defined and maintained by myself to create tabletSearch, an optimized search plugin for anything Nokia Internet Tablet and Maemo related. It includes searches on maemo.org, internettabletttalk.com and more, making it really easy to find information relevant to the tablets. You can get it here. To get the new plugin to appear, you must either restart your tablet or simply deselect/reenable the plugin from the Home menu.

There are also additional search engine plugins (Amazon, Google Maps, IMDB, eBay) available on this webpage. Feel free to ask if you need any else.

Is there a link to the CSE for viewing through the browser?

Yes, it's the link quoted by qwerty12; and it's the same on the desktop as on the tablet.

It really works extremely well - just this morning I was in bed, looking for the thread about the auto-lock on the N810 when the sensor gets dark: I simply searched tabletSearch for "lock light" and found it right there as result #1.
