I have searched (honest!) but can't find any specific info. @770 owners: have you used a bt headset on it? If so which OS and what make/manufacturer?

Generally: worth replacing HE2007 with HE2008? My current set-up is flashed to SD card + fanoush's improvements so I don't want to trash it unnecessarily.

2008HE is generally snappier than 2007HE, but the browser is slower and memory hungry (if you open ITT on it, better be ready for serious waiting ).

Other than that, my BH-900 pairs okay with 2008HE, but the sound is not routed through the headset.

Also in 2008HE the sound in the speaker is too low (because its trying to play stereo).

Bundyo, thanks for the info. Until recently I have never used a bt device or looked up the tech/capabilities. Does the fact that Nokia's own device will pair with the 770 mean it works as intended. Will *any* equivalent bt device work? What exactly do you mean by "sound is not routed through the headset"?

PS: I am especially keen to hear from anyone who has successfully used any *ultra cheap* bt devices with any combo of tablet/os.

It will pair with any bluetooth device. Its another question if you will be able to use it. For instance as i said it pairs with my headset but the sound is not coming through it. Another thing - I tried to use maemo-pan with OS2008HE but failed again - there is something wrong with DBus there can't find the needed bluetooth connection. All these things work fine with 2008HE on N800.

I'll try harder when i can though.
