What about if you are out of range of a wifi signal...does that matter like it does for cell phones?
I know with my cell phone if I don't turn it off and am out of range most of the day (like I am most days) I'll be completely drained by the end of the day...even though I didn't touch it all day. I've heard this is because the cell phone is continuously looking for the network when it isn't connected. Does the N800 work the same way for wifi networks?

The primary reason I got this is to read PDFs and listen to music or podcasts on the subway to work. Reading and composing email offline will also be useful. So in general are there good tips for using the N800 mostly offline?
I'm thinking things like
1) Toggle wifi radio on/off quickly to conserve battery
2) Set up exchange email so that it downloads and I don't have to use OWA.
3)etc...
Thanks for any advice. I'm very much looking forward to my N800.
