i found this today when i was trying to find a new keyboard for my iphone.. anyway i tried it but the "easy install" doesn't work.. maybe u should try and explain how to install this,guys

Yes, that's an old Edje example by Gustavo Barbieri (one of the Canola guys). Its purpose is exactly that - an example. I think it installs along with another 2 examples with the Canola 2 installation, but not sure about that.

The consensus was that it operated much better than the thumb currently used in maemo. I think Handful wanted to implement it in Canola 2 but there were issues that came into play that resulted in this not happening.
