Does anyone know of a charging cradle/dock for the n800?

No. I started a thread about this recently. I think they need some kind of dock connector on the bottom of the unit for a cradle connection on future models.

pretty neat although not everyone has acess to a wood router or the ability to use one

and wondered whether it could be adapted to be a dock for the n800?

apparently my local craplins have 7 in stock so I will go take a look tomorrow and see what they look like in the flesh

Well, anything can be adapted. That's IR, though, so a pine plank is about as easy to adapt...

ah, I didn't look too hard, I was concentrating on the folding aspect - actually, I discovered it searching froogle for "usb thumb board".

ok.. so how does it display to the monitor?

bluetooth > pc?

btw, i have a Clip. it is great... sounds awesome..i could go on, but this is a 800 board..

I took at look at the "Nikkei" fold-up keyboard/clamshell. When you open it up, the thumbboard raises up on hinged arms, presumably to allow a PDA to fit underneath. It really is quite small, even smaller than the zaurus. If it were USB or bluetooth, it could probably be adapted quite well to be a sort of dock. Can't find a manufacturer website for it to see what other variants they make.
