If I Originally Converted Movies For My Nokia 770, Can I Play Them In My Nokia N800?

whatever the 770 can play, the 800/810 can play better

in short, YES

Should I be wasting my time reconverting everything for the N800?

I would say it depends on what settings you originally used to convert the videos. Also I would take into account how long it takes your computer to convert videos.

It takes me a while - is it worth it? I did it at a good setting before.

Will it mess up my device if I try to play them on it?

Oh yeah, and, are there two slots for memory? Where is the second one?

Under the battery cover, where? I saw a tiny little metal thing that can slide, but what is that? Is that it?

Yep, that's it. Here's a photo with a memory card inserted. (Note that the top of the tablet is toward the bottom of the photo, i.e. rotated approx. 180 degrees.)
