http://iplayerhelp.external.bbc.co.u...al_wma_streams

both the WMA and Real streams work for me here in the UK, and in theory they should work overseas too, maybe someone can test.

the guide to what's on is here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/

--edit--

I just came across this site where someone's put together a really lightweight site with RealMedia links: http://bbcradio.mobi/

Unfortunately no matter what user-agent I tried I couldn't get their "official" mobile live radio & tv streams to work (http://www.bbc.co.uk/mobile/live/radio/ and http://www.bbc.co.uk/mobile/live/tv/) - funnily, despite saying so in the help, it didn't work with our test N97 at work, also saying "Your device doesnt' support this service".

do you use the one of the windows media player links or the real links...

I was saning the threads to see if there was a good internet radio that may be a bit better for the tablets then mplayers, is this worth having to pull up the web page or book mark each time you wanna listen.

Both WMA and Real streams are working for me in the USA, using Media Player.

both work for me also in both Canada and Hong Kong.
And once you have your stream added to 'favourite' you can easily access them using the internet radio applet on the desktop which is very handy

it's hard to decide. who's more evil, Microsoft or Real :-)

I'd decide which stream you prefer on the basis of sound quality or bandwidth requirement; I think the beeb set them to be relatively similar sound. I'd actually keep a record of both streams on the basis if one is down the other should still work.

I'd do what someone else does and save them as favourites; I also keep a directory where I dump the asx and wma files, and it means I find the streams for playing on other systems.
