I totally agree, I never said anything about maemo.org users being restricted.


Some people maintaining these sites are in fact paid by Nokia to maintain these sites, but not to astroturf for Nokia.
I didn't say they were! The only reason I used the word unofficial was to describe the site we're working on, it wasn't meant to be any kind of comment on existing maemo sites.


So, I am still not clear what is this thing that I (or any of the above people) cannot say at maemo.org but can say at some other site.
All I was saying was that we (i.e. the people writing for the new site) would be able to do articles without worrying about Nokia's opinion. I wasn't talking about end-users on forums or comments threads, just article writers.

Can you point me to some examples? If this was happening, and they weren't abusive, illegal or spamming I want to know so I can stop it.

I don't actually believe that any of the people who have the ability to do it, would do it though.
