Does anyone know how configurable the Maemo 5 application launcher is? That is, the bit that comes up after two presses of the top-left on-screen button? It looks like there is one page of icons, then a 'more' button in the bottom-right leading to a scrollable list of more icons.

Is the list of icons on the first page configurable?

Does the 'more' page include the icons from the first page too?

Are the apps always listed in alphabetical order, or what?

Are sub-folders (or categories or tags) supported, or is it just a flat list?

This can't be answered until we see the final version of the software. Sorry.

In order of installation.

No, it's just a basic list.

Keep in mind that this is just the case in the proto firmware, the retail one and/or updates can differ greatly.

Thanks, joppu. That doesn't sound disappointingly unconfigurable at the moment, but I'll wait to see what the final firmware comes up with. Maybe the launcher code will be open-source, who knows...
