thanks! could you link me a source/page/thread about the porting?

Damn - never occurred to me to think of this...
Anyone know if having 2 lines on 1 phone is supported?

Well, I've got the infrastructure (easy-chroot) in Fremantle Extras-Devel, so adventurous souls can try things out, but I'm finding it so difficult to use desktop apps in Fremantle at the moment that I'm not moving Easy Debian to Fremantle until I can figure out a way around the UI problems...

Yes, desktop Linux apps run on the N900. But man, they look ugly at the moment....

I might have to advice some caution, as on some other forums there were claims that this would not be supported yet. No idea if the poster had any real information, though. Your best bet would probably be to visit some Flagship store with a proto and test it with your SIM. Or try to find some proto user in your vicinity from these forums. Or then just wait until the N900 hits the streets, but I understand waiting might be more than just a little difficult...

You are so right on that one

Even so, thank you for the advice....

Having dug around a bit, I have found out that to have line 2 you need Alternative Line Service (ALS). Is this supported under maemo? Im digging around on the nokia site to see if I can find the right place to ask over there as well..

edit2

I can see other people asking this as well, so Im taking it as an unknown..
