looking at the N97 Mini it has four 3G bands by default. i assume that they bundled the 850Mhz into the 900Mhz description.

http://europe.nokia.com/find-product...tions#Hardware

so i assume it will support the North American 3G bands, with exception of the T-Mobile 3G band.

why am i looking at the N97 Mini, well because the N900 doesn't have great Maps/Voice Navigation enabled and i already have a N810 with a similar keyboard, which i find not to easy to use. i'd prefer a Maemo device with a N97 form factor.

The N900 keyboard is miles better than the 100% flat N810 one.

You have no idea how precedent setting this is! If its true, its the first quadband 3G device I know of, and it should only be time before an American device that supports all US 3G bands is released, and consumers can really start shopping for the best solutions for them, instead of being stuck with one carrier.
